For most of my life, I've known how to tell a story. Whether it was gathering family together at birthday parties to give a "comedy show" or staying late at a friend's house when I was in my twenties to talk about that one time I sang to someone in a Burger King drive-thru, I've always enjoyed "the ticket."
If you don't know what "the ticket" is just yet, let me illuminate it for you.
"The ticket" is when someone is hanging on every word you're saying because they can't even imagine how a story like this is going to end.
It's when that one person has actually PUT DOWN their phone to hear you describe what it was really to see the curve of the Earth before you jumped out of that plane.
It's when a person is not only listening to you, but they're actually imagining what it would have been like to BE you in that moment.
It's when you're able to invite someone to become a part of that story by weaving together an experience that they can actually feel happening.
When someone has invested their time and attention(two of the most valuable things we own) into what you're talking about, they've bought "the ticket."
My career has been centered around figuring out how to convince people to invest their time and attention in something.
Interesting email subject lines.
Engaging and original copy that wasn't produced by an AI.
Creative and thought provoking content.
These are all of the ways that I can tell a story.
Let me tell your story and get someone invested and invited into the next chapter.
